The purpose of  the webinar is to discuss the complexities and issues related to HIV/AIDS and older adults. First, The AIDS Institute will provide a brief overview of  National HIV/AIDS and Aging Awareness Day and the ongoing educational  campaign as well as emphasize the need for increased HIV awareness among the  older adult population. Next, an overview of  the data showing trends in the HIV aging population will be presented. Then, we will examine issues related to prevention and outreach as well as  explore care and treatment challenges. Then, an example of a program from  the field will be presented. Finally, participants will be provided updates  around HIV testing coverage, specifically around Medicare.
